THE CHOICE OF THE PEOPLE OF CAMEROON

Dear compatriots, ladies and gentlemen,  

Our country stands at a crucial crossroads. After the reviews by Élecam and the Constitutional Council, twelve candidates have been approved, eleven of whom are opposition contenders challenging the incumbent.  

After a thorough analysis of the executive power in Cameroon, I acknowledge that the late SE Papa Ahmadou B. Ahidjo entrusted the continuity of public administration to two key figures:  

1. The President of the Republic, SE Papa Paul Biya;  

2. The Prime Minister, SE Papa Bello Bouba Maïgari.  

This model reflected his own governance, where the Prime Minister was chosen based on competence and synergy with the President, rather than regional balancing.  

Why did SE Paul Biya change this order?  

Today, it is entirely legitimate for the Cameroonian people to place their trust in SE Bello Bouba Maïgari for a peaceful transition.  

We propose that he form a transitional government composed of talents from all candidates, including those from the RDPC. On October 12, 2025, Cameroonians will vote for a government of change, not for a single individual.  

With this approach, democratic alternation and change are possible.
