NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE TO A BRAVE HEART N°00027/05-08/RDPF-KUMZSE/ADN-2025
For a True, Peaceful, and Responsible Democratic Alternation – Call for Unity and Citizen Mobilization
Dear Compatriots, Dear Brothers and Sisters,
"Democracy is not just a political challenge, it is a promise to every citizen."
Since 1990, our country has made real democratic progress, but this path remains fragile, as recent history has shown.
The Democratic Rally of the People Without Borders (RDPF-KUMZSE) has made the responsible decision to withdraw its appeal to the Constitutional Council to avoid unnecessary expenses for Cameroonians.
Thirteen candidacies have been validated for the presidential election, and a fourteenth would change nothing essential.
However, this withdrawal is not an end but a call.
A call to overcome division and work towards lasting peace, an essential condition for any successful political change.
Cameroon still faces heavy economic and social challenges:
- An external debt exceeding eleven trillion Central African CFA francs, while one of our natural resource deposits remains largely untapped, estimated at over one hundred thirty trillion CFA francs.
Should we allow these treasures to nourish foreign interests to the detriment of our people?
Take for example the mining basin in the East, whose wealth is still largely underexploited, or regions like the Extreme North, where access to education remains a daily struggle.
In the face of these challenges, the RDPF-KUMZSE exclusively proposes a project for a peaceful Cameroonian transitional government, carefully thought out and nurtured for a long time, to prepare a serene and inclusive change.
In 2018, facing conflicts in the Extreme North, Southwest and Northwest, the RDPF-KUMZSE, through my voice, proposed and seized the Constitutional Council to request postponement of the presidential elections and a cabinet reshuffle. The Constitutional Council declared the request admissible in form but incompetent on the merits.
This project is independent and distinct from the partial meeting held in Foumban, which, although interesting, brings together only part of the validated candidates.
But in politics, one must anticipate and bring together all vital forces to prevent any crisis.
We must no longer allow ourselves to be divided by disguised foreign interests, who in reality pursue a form of disguised neocolonialism.
Our country must find within itself the strength to build a stable future.
Peace, even more than electoral victory, is our collective priority.
National unity must not be a slogan but a true reality.
President Paul Biya still holds a central role today.
But this is a shared commitment, where every Cameroonian, young, women, elders, and various regions, must together carry this national destiny.
I will end with an African wisdom: “Alone, you go faster; together, you go further.”
Cameroonians, let us affirm together our will for a united, sovereign, and prosperous Cameroon.
May God bless Cameroon, bless our efforts, and bless the African continent as a whole.
Fraternally,
Dr. NDEMMANU Antoine De Padoue, Ph.D. in Social Economics
National President of RDPF-KUMZSE
Former candidate in the October 12, 1997 presidential election
