Proposal for a Transitional Government for Union and Peace in Cameroon
The rejection of the candidacies of Professor Maurice KAMTO and myself has caused immense disappointment and frustration among many Cameroonians.
But our historic responsibility is to transform this anger and desire for change into a constructive, inclusive, and peaceful mobilization.
1. Call for calm, unity, and civic responsibility
We solemnly ask the Cameroonian people, especially the youth, not to give in to violence or calls to take to the streets.
Our commitment is to prioritize dialogue, consultation, and institutional means to assert the popular will.
2. A unified platform for a peaceful change of government
To ensure a credible change of government on October 12, 2025, we propose the immediate formation of a broad common front uniting all the forces of the constructive opposition behind Mr. Akere Muna Tabeng and Professor Maurice Kamto, according to the following logic:

* Minister of Communication and Telecommunications: Mr. Guibaï GATAMA;

3. Balanced and Open Representation
Key executive management positions and board chair positions will be reserved among unsuccessful opposition candidates, based on merit and qualifications, to ensure inclusive and representative governance.
4. Call for National Dialogue and Respect for Democracy
We demand the opening of a National Political Dialogue, under national and international guarantees, to secure the electoral process, guarantee peace, and ensure a truly consensual democratic transition.
5. International Commitment
We seek the support and vigilance of African and international partners to ensure the transparency of the election, the protection of civil rights, and stability in Cameroon.
Citizens, let us reject division and violence.
Let us unite around a common project, an inclusive transitional governance, so that the peaceful and hoped-for change finally becomes a reality on October 12, 2025.
