For a peaceful transition and a peaceful democratic change
Dear compatriots,
The truth is not always easy to tell, but it always triumphs in the end.
Our country needs everyone's commitment to continue the work of our founding fathers.
The refusal of the outgoing President, H.E. Paul Biya, invites us to reflect on the best path for peaceful change ☮.
I believe the President should take advantage of the resignation of the Minister of Employment and Vocational Training to carry out a cabinet reshuffle.
This would prevent serious unrest and limit the risk of collateral damage to the country.
By integrating key figures such as traditional leaders, the Bamoun Sultan, the Lamido, or the Fon into the new government, it could defuse tensions and lay the foundations for a peaceful transition.
After forty-three (43) years in power, the regime is deeply entrenched, and poorly managed change could be dangerous for the people.
To support this change, it would also be appropriate to establish a vice-presidency as well as an ethics and wise men's commission.
Thus, the President of the Republic, the Presidents of the Senate, the Constitutional Council, etc., could become advisors to guide and support the new executive.
Together, these measures would offer Cameroon a real chance of successfully achieving a peaceful transition, drawing on the experience of former leaders and the diversity of its leadership.
This is how we can preserve peace and build a better future for all.
