LE CHOIX DU PEUPLE CAMEROUNAIS  

Chers compatriotes, mesdames et messieurs,  

Notre pays est à un tournant décisif. Après les délibérations d’Élecam et du Conseil Constitutionnel, douze candidats sont retenus, dont onze de l’opposition face au candidat sortant.  

Après une analyse approfondie du pouvoir exécutif au Cameroun, je reconnais que feu SE Papa Ahmadou B. Ahidjo avait confié la continuité de la gestion publique à deux personnalités clés:  

1. Le Président de la République, SE Papa Paul Biya;  

2. Le Premier Ministre, SE Papa Bello Bouba Maïgari.  

Ce modèle reflétait sa propre gouvernance où le Premier Ministre était choisi selon la compétence et la synergie avec le Président, sans se baser uniquement sur des équilibres régionaux.  

Pourquoi SE Paul Biya a-t-il changé cet ordre?  

Aujourd’hui, il est tout à fait légitime que le peuple camerounais place sa confiance en SE Bello Bouba Maïgari pour une transition pacifique.  

Nous proposons qu’il forme un gouvernement de transition rassemblant les talents de tous les candidats, y compris ceux du RDPC. Le 12 octobre 2025, les Camerounais voteront pour un gouvernement de changement, et non pour une seule personne.  

Avec cette approche, l’alternance démocratique et le changement deviennent possibles.

THE CHOICE OF THE PEOPLE OF CAMEROON

Dear compatriots, ladies and gentlemen,  

Our country stands at a crucial crossroads. After the reviews by Élecam and the Constitutional Council, twelve candidates have been approved, eleven of whom are opposition contenders challenging the incumbent.  

After a thorough analysis of the executive power in Cameroon, I acknowledge that the late SE Papa Ahmadou B. Ahidjo entrusted the continuity of public administration to two key figures:  

1. The President of the Republic, SE Papa Paul Biya;  

2. The Prime Minister, SE Papa Bello Bouba Maïgari.  

This model reflected his own governance, where the Prime Minister was chosen based on competence and synergy with the President, rather than regional balancing.  

Why did SE Paul Biya change this order?  

Today, it is entirely legitimate for the Cameroonian people to place their trust in SE Bello Bouba Maïgari for a peaceful transition.  

We propose that he form a transitional government composed of talents from all candidates, including those from the RDPC. On October 12, 2025, Cameroonians will vote for a government of change, not for a single individual.  

With this approach, democratic alternation and change are possible.
